Meet the Founders

In the 1990s David K. Cahoone, Joseph J. Strazzeri, and Stephen J. Mancini met through their memberships in national collaborative organizations that focused on estate, business, and wealth planning. Each not only had active practices in these areas, but also spent time educating mainly attorneys on the technical applications as well as client counseling.

In the following years each spent intensive time teaching the technical ins and outs of wealth strategies planning and implementation with and for accountants, bankers, financial advisors, stock brokers, insurance professionals as well as attorneys. They began to realize that wealth advisor and client counseling was the key to complete implementation and truthfully helping affluent client families. Together they refined “how the rubber meets the road” and began to document and process the collaborative client engagement of: The Introductory Visit, The Gathering, The Evaluation, The Initial Visit, The Analyze and Test Meetings, The Building the Plan Meetings, The Presenting the Preliminary and Enhanced Plan Meetings, The Implementation, as well as The Confirmation Meeting.

In 2005 they brought together industry experts from across the country in the first multi-disciplinary Laureate in Wealth Strategies Program. Utilizing this client engagement approach, the year-long program focused on wealth advisor counseling, practice management, and case studies to help affluent families. Since then the Laureate Programs have trained over 180 wealth advisors from a variety of disciplines on how to attract, engage, and work with affluent families and their advisors through this collaborative approach.

David, Joe, and Steve still keep active practices in the wealth strategies arena to help affluent families and the advisors they work with achieve their enlightened dreams and goals.
