January 15 – What Clients Aren’t Hearing and Why; presented by Joe Strazzeri, Esq.
When a client comes to you for help with a transition event – whether in life, business, or an asset – your job is to first understand the challenge (from their perspective), the goals they are attempting to communicate, and the outcome they are looking for as well as share the brilliance that you bring to the table.  Next, you need to gather the data, do your research, assemble the appropriate subject matter experts (collaborative team), and then determine the possible solution(s).  Joe will share a tool to help you navigate this often-complicated conversation to gain clarity regarding what they cannot see now or into the future – and have them realize the potential of their assets in a manner that is applicable to their situation, causing further partnering opportunities over many years.

January 22 – The Secret Sauce to Exit Planning; presented by Melisa Silverman, JD, CEPA, CVA, SBA, CMEA and Shelley Lightfoot, CEPA
Many advisors want to add Exit Planning as a line of business to their current practice but struggle to do that as well as maintain their current revenue stream.  Shelley and Melisa will outline a comprehensive advisor’s guide to help entrepreneurs find clarity about the dichotomy that exits in their gut, honor their journey thus far, unpack their priorities, and identify the issues to focus on. Learn the mechanics to cause engagement, retain the quarterback role, maintain momentum, and complete the 7-Step Business Succession Journey.

February 2026

February 5 – Because Crisis Never Makes an Appointment: Redefining Asset Protection Through Health Intelligence; presented by Brett Frankenberg, MPT, MHA, BCPA
A medical crisis instantly reshapes legal, financial, and family decisions. Even the most sophisticated plans can falter when information is incomplete, inaccessible, or misunderstood in critical moments.
This presentation explores how Patient Advocacy bridges the gap between crisis response and long-term planning by introducing structure, coordination, and clarity into healthcare decision-making. We will discuss how accurate, accessible, and interoperable health information becomes a form of “health intelligence” — a strategic asset that protects both client well-being and the wealth you work hard to safeguard.
Participants will leave with a modern framework for integrating health information management into their advisory model – elevating their role and strengthening the stability of every plan they design.

February 12 – Pre-empted for Orange County EPI Chapter Meeting
Join us for “AI Proof Your Practice with Advanced Counseling and Planning Tools;” presented by Brad Barros and Joe Strazzeri. For full description and to register, go to: www.SCInstitute.org/EPIOC

February 19 – On Demand Leadership as a Value Driver; presented by Kristen McAlister
In today’s exit-driven market, talent strategy is no longer a back-office function – it’s a valuation lever. As businesses scale, integrate, or prepare for transition, leadership is often the unseen factor that determines deal momentum, operational continuity, and enterprise value. This session will unpack how strategic use of on-demand leadership (interim, fractional, and more) can unlock clarity, accelerate results, and stabilize risk – without increasing long-term overhead.
Whether you’re advising on succession, professionalization, value creation, or M&A readiness, this conversation will give you new ways to identify leadership gaps, pair capabilities to value-creation goals, and position talent strategy as part of the exit thesis – not an afterthought.

February 26 – Cancel Proof: How Entrepreneurs and Executives Can Protect Their Reputation from Online Haters; presented by Dave Oates
No matter how tirelessly business owners and professional advisors work to build something valuable, today’s Cancel Culture can wreak havoc on their hard-earned reputation in as little as one Instagram post. Learn from a Crisis PR expert about the steps you can take not just to protect but also enhance your reputation that will be impossible for any one instance to take down. Help your high-profile clients understand these proven methods that often cost very little, if anything, to employ and can ensure their brand equity remains intact.
